Festival of the Arts Poster
As a past attendee of the Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts, I sought out to design a more elaborate poster than the more simplistic existing flyers. While the festival is known for its numerous vendors selling art and craft wares, it also features live performances from community organizations. As such, I wanted to represent the lesser-recognized component of the festival within this design. This resulted in a composition featuring a young dancer immersed in the Elmwood area. Elements such as the flowing script of the header text and the rhythmically placed music notes signal to the viewer the freely creative environment of the festival.
